Happy Thursday!
My bead soup partner Lea Avroch received and revealed the soup ingredients I sent her so I can share it with you.
I struggle with decision making so it is hard for me to edit sometimes. I
Have to admit that I was nervous too because she is a fabulous glass artist and I didn’t want to disappoint. I had everything spread out and just couldn’t decide on what to send her, so I sent it all! Lol. I am hoping I didn’t overwhelm her, but I shared my inability to edit and told her that I didn’t expect her to use it all!
As a wireworker, my wire of choice is steel… In consideration of her metal allergies I choose to work with copper for Lea’s soup. I created the focal and the clasp with some of the soup I sent her. I am also a chain junkie, but wasn’t certain of the purity of the copper chain I had, so I selected ribbon rather than chain.
I also created a double sided believe pendant for her, you can see the back side in the photo above. I hammered the clasp and patina’d the elements. I am excited to see her creations.
Yesterday I had the honor of delivering a custom key necklace for a special client with her precious Grandma’s keys. I had so much fun creating this necklace, adding the perfect amount of bling with hardware.
I see her wearing it layered with a white tee and jeans or dressier in a cute sweater dress!
I have a bunch of work to complete today so I better get busy. Have a great day!
