Well… As the spring sports wind down… Seven activities for three children is a bit much…
We are allowed an opportunity to breathe. Yes! It feels good.
The Wind Up for my show this weekend is added pressure! Fun pressure because I love what I do!
I rarely do shows… Only because our lives are so busy, but I love them! I love connecting with my customers! I love seeing you sport my creations and try them on. You guys are the best! I hope I will see many of you this weekend at the Olde Depot JUNKtion.
I made a fun supply of bracelets for the weekend!
Some pearls and lace…
A little bit of filigree…
A pretty fun variety… All of them adjustable.
I hope you can join us!
Gosh, I missed you guys. How have you been?
Life gets so busy and I sure did let time slip away.
I have been busy creating.
Creating centers me… Brings me joy.
I have been creating a long time… In one form or another since I was young. I found this pair of earrings that I created, I was thinking it was the early nineties, but my Roomie remembers me creating similar jewelry in the late 80’s! WOWZERS. That really dates me.
When you look at these earrings, keep in mind the big hair that complemented them oh let’s say about 26 years ago! Ha! I guess that makes them vintage!
I know you want a pair, but I regret to inform you that the eighties bandwagon has passed, COL (Chuckling Out Loud!!).
I also created a necklace and earring set for a special friend with her Great Grandma’s gorgeous set of jewelry.
I had so much to work with… And I am so lucky to be able to create, add balance and bring joy.
I have been creating some super special Mother’s Day gifts, but will have to wait until after the weekend to share!
I hope your day is filled with joy and balance!
Time seems to pass so quickly lately. After Thursdays late start due to more snow….
We are happily enjoying sunshine, melting snow and springlike weather.
I have been on a creative frenzy!
Creating and creating…
I have filled some wholesale orders and done a little destashing.
A lot of my time has been spend with my children racing (and I mean racing) back and forth to activities. My three children are in a total of 7 activities this spring. But truly, I would alway rather be busy than bored!
Enjoy your beautiful day!
My bead soup partner Lea Avroch received and revealed the soup ingredients I sent her so I can share it with you.
I struggle with decision making so it is hard for me to edit sometimes. I
Have to admit that I was nervous too because she is a fabulous glass artist and I didn’t want to disappoint. I had everything spread out and just couldn’t decide on what to send her, so I sent it all! Lol. I am hoping I didn’t overwhelm her, but I shared my inability to edit and told her that I didn’t expect her to use it all!
As a wireworker, my wire of choice is steel… In consideration of her metal allergies I choose to work with copper for Lea’s soup. I created the focal and the clasp with some of the soup I sent her. I am also a chain junkie, but wasn’t certain of the purity of the copper chain I had, so I selected ribbon rather than chain.
I also created a double sided believe pendant for her, you can see the back side in the photo above. I hammered the clasp and patina’d the elements. I am excited to see her creations.
Yesterday I had the honor of delivering a custom key necklace for a special client with her precious Grandma’s keys. I had so much fun creating this necklace, adding the perfect amount of bling with hardware.
I see her wearing it layered with a white tee and jeans or dressier in a cute sweater dress!
I have a bunch of work to complete today so I better get busy. Have a great day!
Today we are snuggled and cozy warm as school is cancelled again due to low temps and blizzard conditions.
I posted on Instagram yesterday a few photos of our travels… This one has so much beauty, especially for a passenger snuggled in a blanket with a fresh cup of coffee. We were on our way to hockey, and this is Minnesota and hockey families are pretty fierce… It is up to the traveling team to determine road conditions and they were willing to travel an hour and a half in the blistering conditions.
It was a fun game and we got to follow a snow plow part of the way home. I am grateful for their diligence and care during extreme conditions. Even they were pulled off the roads last night as many surrounding roads were closed.
It is so nice to be able to sit snugly wrapped in a blanket. I am on day 8 of round 2 of vertigo. Saturday I even stayed home because I just felt too rotten to watch Kya’s volleyball tourney. (And you know it’s bad if I miss one of my kids events!) Hoping this round does not last a month… I am behind on my self imposed deadlines! I have so much to create!
Here is a necklace I created the other day… My Perfect Valentine Necklace.
I wish you all warm and snuggly moments! Have a happy Monday!
How is your day? Today I am feeling brassy!
I have been playing with brass… It has a sassy look.
I found this key this summer and fell in love, love, love!
It pairs perfectly with the delicate brassy link chain I found.
And how about this pair for a perfectly layered duo?
Aren’t they cute together? Pure Brassy Happiness!
I hope you have a happy brassy day!
The week has been a whirlwind so far…
I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row, but it’s seems like the little duckies just don’t want to stay in line. The feeling compares to when my kids were one, two and three and trying to get them dressed in their winter finery to play outside. You would get the first one dressed, and start on the second one. By the time you are ready to start on the third one, the first one is almost stripped and you have to start a over. Oh my gosh that was a chore. Add sleep deprivation to the mix and you were out of energy by the time you hit the crisp snow. Lol. Those were the days!
So I guess I really can’t complain too much. I will get there! Yes I will. This week I am attacking my pile of custom orders that have been patiently waiting!
I listed this vintage fork necklace in my etsy shop this morning.
It will be a perfect gift for a foodie!
Well, I am off to round up my duckies!
Have an amazing day!
