Today I am finally working on my name badge for the retreat I am attending next week. I am super excited about this retreat, but I have been drawing a blank on creating a unique and fun name badge that represents me.
Here are a few of the supplies I am playing around with. I’ll show you the finished product next week!
Keegan is doing so well with his stitches an I am excited to say that he bit the bullet on the pain and didn’t even have to miss any school!
Our weekend promises to be especially frantic with volleyball, hockey, boys choir and a hockey fundraiser. Fun stuff!
Today the sun was shining and we had a beautiful fall day. I was able to work outside in the sunshine… Feeling thankful for the warm temps!
May you have a happy and joyful weekend!
Happy Wednesday! Jeepers the days are slipping by!
Sometimes I feel a little guilty because I am having so much fun creating… It is incredible to do what you love! I am so thankful and grateful!
I refilled the muffin tin and started over with my inspirational self challenge.
One of these days I am really going to have to focus on taking some photos. My pile is growing!
🙂 Have a FUNtastic day!! I hope you can do what YOU love!
I am trying to find perfect words to describe yesterday. Tom’s brother was truly humbled by the support!
I keep erasing the words because they do not appropriately define the emotion and overwhelming gratitude that I have for our incredibly generous friends!
So many of our friends donated amazing items: gorgeous handmade scarves, baby blankets, gift cards, handmade stools, stained glass garden stakes, artwork, blu-ray players, hair care services and products, books, baskets and more. Many of our friends that could, took time out of their day to join us… I find it hard to find words to thank you! Some of you even brought along extended family! We are so very touched!
With Joyful Hearts…
We Thank You!!!

The other day I received an amazing gift.
The gift arrived to me, and I was so excited to open the box…
In Tucson, my friend Patti, Liz, Linda, Katie and I enjoyed dinner with Liz’s father and fun-loving wife. Liz encouraged me to show her father some of my funky creations with unusual elements like water faucet handles and vintage hinges.
As Liz expected, her sweet father was very intrigued… He started telling us about some trunks that he rescued the hardware from over 50 years ago. He stored them and moved them for over 50 years across many states… He was excited to dig them out and share them with me!!! Can you imagine my delight when the box showed up in my mailbox?
This rusty delight was such a beautiful gift to me…. for one thing, this gentleman cared enough to keep them with him for so long and the immense honor I feel that he would share them with me after all of this time. I am so excited to work these items into some unique jewelry and decor! I am very touched by his gift and sweet Liz for sending them to me… Thank you!!
Here are a few necklaces still available that I posted on Facebook yesterday. Comment or email me if you are interested (cherishdesigns@live,com).
I love the messages!
And a pic of one of my faucet necklaces I referred to above.
Feeling thankful, blessed and filled with gratitude!
I happily arrived home last night to my family at 10:30 pm after a long day of travel. The hugs are fabulous!!
We had an amazing breakfast by the London Bridge…
My travels started off a little sketchy due to the fact that my rental car would not start! 🙂 Turns out you have to manually shut the lights off after driving through the mountains and the desert! My bad!!
My Mom’s awesome friends rallied around us searching for jumper cables! It was kind of crazy, very few snowbirds had jumper cables! But each one of them said they always carry them at home. They were so sweet! Thankfully I started out with a lat of extra time and the extra hour didn’t matter!
It was hard to leave my Mom but it is much easier seeing how happy she is with her friends, planning dinners, playing bridge and golfing!
My drive through the mountains and desert was so beautiful!
Gorgeous! But the thrill of driving in our driveway with snow piled high was pretty fun too! Especially knowing how happy my kids were with the abundance of snow!
Here is a peek at a necklace I created while I was gone, many more to photograph! 🙂
Hope you have the best day ever! 🙂 Kris
