Today the summer activities begin in full force… It would be even more fun if it felt like summer. We must be close to about 30 days of clouds with one or two sightings of the sun!
This pic was from a gorgeous sunset the other night and the blue sky was simply dynamic!
I have a big week too, so I will be checking in, but sightings may be brief!
Have an amazing day!
It was such an incredible evening last night at Sawyer & Kya’s track meet. We actually had high seventies, the sun was shining and it could not have been more beautiful.
Of course, I had to take advantage of the fantastic opportunity to create.
I made two cuffs and two necklaces in the four hours while watching events.
It wasn’t all sunshine and happiness. Sawyer had a tough time in one of his events. I snapped a photo of him and you can see the defeat on his face. I got the “Mooooom” comment, but it is such a cool photo I had to share it. Some of the life lessons that sports offer kids is how to win AND how to lose.
The sunset on my drive home was nothing short of dynamic.
As I drove away, I was stunned by the beauty in my mirrors…
It was fleeting, but I could not resist snapping a few shots.
Here are the necklaces I made last night.
Hope you have a happy Wednesday and my your sunsets be stunning!
Yesterday may have been my quickest blog post ever! Sorry!
The line was way shorter than I thought it would be. And my Mom got me a little special treatment and a Twinkie (which I just realized must be squished in my purse… Yuk!)
I am incredibly excited to be blogging from my iPhone 5!!! Yay! Yay!
The anticipation while he applied my protective screen!!!
And the joy after two years of waiting!!
So you and I were practicing taking photos last night…
Another beautiful day with my family!
🙂 Have a great weekend! Kris
Sunday as I was creating my blog post, my thumb inadvertently touched the publish button… I generate my blog from the WordPress app on my iPhone. There is no cancel button! So I had to quickly add tags and title it and be okay with the content.
Normally I create it and then go back to it and refine it. Yesterday I showed my rookie viewpoint of my photography.
Thank you so much for visiting and for all of your comments! It turns out the app was on sale for 99 cents!
There are a few things I would change. I live in Minnesota so my outdoor studio will change to an indoor by the light of a window studio. I will show you my process soon.
I forgot to mention that how I lay the chain part of my necklaces also impacts the look… The necklace above makes me happy…
This necklace… Not so much. It makes me want to say Huh? It looks silly like a question mark.
I also wanted to share… Take the time to really look at your photos before you put your props away. Sometimes I find I will ruin a great photo by getting the edge of something else in the photo. Here is a great example of this… This is a crown I made and delivered…
I was in a hurry… Don’t you love my light switch in the photo? I did not review my photos as you can see. Some mistakes can be cropped out, but not all.
So this photo is the reason my thumb hit publish, I was in a hurry to capture the dynamic setting of the sun.
It was truly worth it!
And I intended on sharing a photo of the birthday girl…
I Can’t believe my baby is 11!
I hope you have a moment to capture a dynamic sunrise or set today!
If you like what you see, thanks for following, liking or subscribing! have a FUNtastic day! 🙂 Kris
Ahhhhhh, sometimes Mondays are the most challenging days for me. This Monday was true to form! I slept through my alarms (both of them!), woke up with an extremely sore jaw, must have had a bad dream and clenched it all night! Lol and had a few other mishaps before I was able to redirect my day into a positive momentum!
The weekend held some very happy creating time!
Creating always brings me to a happy place.
So do sunrises and sunsets…
The amazing site of the glorious sunrise!
The incredible view of the sunset after dropping the girls off at hockey. I especially love the reflection on the hood of my truck!
And more sunrises…
Remember, don’t just look forward, remember to look backward too! Otherwise you are missing out on half of the beauty!
May you have the opportunity to enjoy the joy that the sunrise and sunset can bring to your day! 🙂 Kris
May every SUNRISE hold more PROMISE….
And every SUNSET hold more PEACE…
May you be filled with promise and peace. 🙂 Kris
