Yesterday we were missing our cat, Putter. He loves to sneak out of the door and run and play in the woods… He is usually only gone for an hour or two.
But yesterday momentarily after he escaped, the tornado warning whistle blew (always happens at 1:00 on the first Wednesday of the month).
We live within city limits, on the river and the whistle is just across the street from our house, aimed toward town (and our house). It is physically impossible to stand outside when the whistle blows… And my poor Putter must have been terrified.
He was missing for seven hours in the heat and humidity… Poor kitty.
Thankfully he felt that it was safe to return… Not sure he had a fun romp in the woods. Wondering if he will think twice next time!
He is a bit particular… He doesn’t drink water from a bowl… No way, he only drinks from the faucet… Silly cat!
Enjoy your day! 🙂 Kris
