After a few days of snowfall, we rose to a bright, crisp wintry morn. The wind is gusting but the sunshine brings pure joy to the day.
The sun has a dynamic sun halo surrounding its beauty. The spectrum of colors are so amazing and not quite captured by my iPhone.
Despite the frigid temps and below zero windchill, the joy in your heart is noticeable.
This joy necklace is available for $69 by emailing me at CherishDesigns@live.com.
May you find joy, joy, joy down in your heart throughout your day today!
Happy Cyber Monday!!
I am excited to share that I am having a Cyber Monday sale in my Etsy shop.
Use coupon code CYBERMONDAY! The coupon is valid through December 6, 2013.
I hope you are enjoying shopping online today! Kris
The week has been a whirlwind so far…
I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row, but it’s seems like the little duckies just don’t want to stay in line. The feeling compares to when my kids were one, two and three and trying to get them dressed in their winter finery to play outside. You would get the first one dressed, and start on the second one. By the time you are ready to start on the third one, the first one is almost stripped and you have to start a over. Oh my gosh that was a chore. Add sleep deprivation to the mix and you were out of energy by the time you hit the crisp snow. Lol. Those were the days!
So I guess I really can’t complain too much. I will get there! Yes I will. This week I am attacking my pile of custom orders that have been patiently waiting!
I listed this vintage fork necklace in my etsy shop this morning.
It will be a perfect gift for a foodie!
Well, I am off to round up my duckies!
Have an amazing day!
It has been time to build my inventory for the months ahead. I have been working hard trying to balance (a tad bit of a pun there because I am on day 8 with Vertigo, much improved now) family, house, creating and life. It is a constant battle to keep all of the balls in the air!
My key addiction has ramped up as I have been upcycling keys this weekend! I have three of them created and I listed them here in my Etsy shop.
I also created this necklace over the past few days and I listed it here in my shop.
I am excited by the new dimension to my work and have renewed energy… I could spend hours non stop, but you know, my children do need to be fed!
Today I am finishing up the video celebrating my parents 50 amazing years together! So excited about the week ahead!
I better get to it! Have an amazing Monday!
My lesson for the week is pay more attention to the weather!
Yes, I knew it was rainy… And chilly.
One of the interesting complications of not stepping outside before leaving the house is foot attire. Ha! I believe I would have changed from flips to boots had I thought about it!
Running through puddles from mid day through the eve inspired me to wear warm and cozy boots today!
No worries! I’ve learned my lesson… For this year anyway!
Hope your toesies stay warm and cozy all day! Kris
I have really been enjoying creating with the vintage measuring elements I discovered a few weeks ago.
They really make me happy!
Love the contrast with the mini vintage keys I found the other day at an antique store.
Spending the day at a volleyball tourney today. Perfect rainy day for volleyball.
Have a happy day!
Yesterday was a day of running… Kya had a volleyball game in Alex and we dashed to hockey and before we knew it the day was over.
I made a quick stop in Alex at a couple of Antique stores. I am searching for a couple of items and have not found them yet.
At hockey, I had fun creating on the fly… Bundled up in my blankie while the girls skated.
I have orders to fill so I really need to get busy!
I hope you enjoy some sunshine and creativity today!
The morning is crisp, clean and fresh… It smells and feels like fall.
I found this vintage element during my summer treasure hunting and it reminded me of my Mom’s Sunflowers. She is quite the Gardner and when she decides to do something, she does it in full glory!
Here is Kya and her friend pictured by Gram’s sunflowers. I cannot find the photo they took at a distance that shows the height of her sunflowers, but they looked to be two to three times as tall as the girls!
What is it about sunflowers that are so amazing?
I hope you enjoy a beautiful fall day!
Happy Labor Day Weekend!
So far we have had a fun family weekend and I have had some great creating time!
I love the word imagine… It has so much possibility!
May your weekend be filled with possibility! Kris
Wouldn’t this necklace be a perfect summer accessory?
Perfect with a tee, great with a summer maxi dress & flipflops.
Now if only we had the sunshine!
Have a great day!
I really need to get motivated to sort through the awesome treasures I bought at my Grandparents estate sale… I starting to get my energy back after the fun filled weekend.
This necklace is pictured on a old book given to my Grandma’s namesake four years before she was born and one hundred years ago. It is kind of crazy really. I treasure books like this that have a link to the past and I regret not listening more carefully and documenting my Grandparents stories. Super thankful to have it though!
Here is the sneak peek I promised. I was playing around yesterday with a custom order. I am not done yet, but I thought I would show you a sneak peek!
Hope you have a fantabulous day!
A few quick photos today… The necklace above one of my fav’s… Funky vintage hinge pictured on a box from my Grandparent’s estate.
The same necklace pictured on a cool little book I bought at the sale… Notice the Tiffany’s Ad… The book is from 1911.
Here is another shot of the ad.
And I an not sure what this was, but it is going to be a part of my new jewelry display… I remember seeing it in my Grandparents attic. I quickly laid some necklaces on it.
I am going to have to be a little more deliberate with their placement.
Hope you are having a magical day! Kris
Some new treasures…
I had to fit a little antiquing in over the weekend.
I found some if the most amazing vintage rhinestone costume jewelry.
I am super excited to create with my new loot.
Time to buckle down and keep building my inventory.
May today bring you great joy!
I am very excited about the upcoming week! It is a major week! Trying to get all of my ducks in a row for the crazy week ahead.
I am hoping for good weather for my drive to Wisconsin!! I am incredibly excited for this retreat! We are going to have so much fun and I wish you were all joining us!
I am sharing a little Bluesy Turquoise Love today. I made this necklace the other day. Notice my new chain. I am so excited about it, but I only have it in limited quantities. I wish I could get more!!!
Have a FUNtastic Monday! Kris
Today I have a full heart. I am so grateful for so many positives:
Keegan is making an incredible recovery, the last week has found me awestruck. He ditched the crutches and all pain meds by Tuesday, removed all of the stitches himself by Wednesday and yesterday went the full day without both boots. Seriously in awe of this kid. Truly grateful for no surgeries in the horizon!
We are on our way to the last volleyball tourney of the season. It has been such a rewarding experience.
Looking forward to an incredible week. Hope you have a Heart Full too!
If you are looking for my bead soup post, you can find it here.
Kya and Sawyer had a blast dying Easter eggs yesterday. Of course, Keegan refrained as he was stuck to the recliner with his feet elevated. He did enjoy the fruits of their labor though.
His pain has been manageable so he is doing great. I wish I could show you pics of him walking on crutches with his double air cast/cam boots. They have curved bottoms and not much for traction so it is a little nervewracking watching him walk. I have been forbidden to post any photos of him and he is so cute all set up in the recliner with his feet elevated.
I have been cooking, creating and enjoying my family this weekend.
Here is a necklace I created with a vintage European buckle… Love the buckle and felt that it would make a perfect element to wire some charms to.
I made it long so you can layer a few necklaces or double up the chain and wear it shorter.
Thanks to our snow days, our kids had school today, so Keegan and I are spending some quality time together.
I am back to finish hopping the bead soup blog party. It is so much fun to see the diverse and gorgeous work that everyone creates.
I hope you enjoy a beautiful Monday!
